Axumite Heritage Foundation

The Axumite Heritage Foundation (AHF) was established in 1993 as a subsidiary of the Ethiopian Community Development Council (ECDC), Inc.—a non-profit, community-based organization headquartered in Arlington, Virginia. Founded in 1983, ECDC was created to address the needs of the growing Ethiopian community in the Washington, D.C. area. In 1992, it became a U.S. Department of State–designated voluntary agency, expanding its mission to resettle refugees from around the world. Today, ECDC is a nationally recognized organization serving newcomers across the United States.
